Day two saw much better conditions than the previous day, staying dry and relatively cool in the morning. Without much fuss Marquez and Lorenzo took the top two spots and being the only two under the 2′ marker. Surprising to me was how quickly the two Andrea’s adapted to the GP15 already and brought it near sub 2′ marker. Another shocker was how the elder Espargaro managed to bring the GSX-RR into the top ten for the second day in a row. Could this mean that Suzuki has actually created a contender in the new era of MotoGP?
Fast laps were as always set in the earlier part of the day as being in Sepang it gets sweltering towards the afternoon. This saw Smith move up to the 7th slot, improving on his day one times as well as Crutchlow but both setting their times towards the end of the sesssion. What is most important now is the simulation runs rather then who can post a fast lap for one or two laps. I think they will hold this on for tomorrow, doing a series of laps with consistent laps times will show how the improvements stacks up over race distance.
